Came here this even we've been coming here for some time now normally great good great services but not today waitress slow didn't seen to notices when we called her are that my partner glass was empty so we tried rhe started of cheesey mushrooms thinking it be nice to be given a bowl full of grease I get cheese is grease and in my in some garlic oil maybe but really they was swimming in grease yakkk we then order our mains I had sausages and mash not the best watery gravy weird to have a piece of on it that wasn't cooked and these sweet sauce not sure what it was don't remember seeing it on the menu then my partner order fish and chips for it to come and the fish coverd in rock salt and the chips now he doesn't eat salt so had to ask for it to be taking back and change to with the waitress saying we'll it does say season chips is salt a seasoning? And we'll you should be asked first and I didn't see if say seasoned fish ? So while waiting for it to be cooked again it was a while maybe this was because staff seemed more interesting in chatting running around and messing about instead of giving services being in the industry my self customers first and if you have time to lean clean its work not a playground or a hoilday camp
Once we got are meals very disappointed I didn't enjoy mine partner left half of his as he said fish didn't taste great definitely gone down since last time safe to say we won't ne coming again and will be trying somewhere new. My partner did say I should have ask for money back as we paid a lot for a not nice meal we really didn't enjoy.
Maybe you should get the one lady can't remember her name she works on reception at the hotel as well to teach you staff
now when she waits on she fabulous always has been hence I normal give 5 star reviews but not this sorry won't be returning menu now is boring same stuff all the time and food gone don hill.

Increase in prices and quality of food was not so good as previously experienced. Disappointed this time but may try again in future.

Didn't even get the chance to sit down apparently they were fully booked for two people on a Thursday night firstly the greeting was have you booked!! No greeting and welcome to fallow field defensive straight away!! To which my colleague replied no we haven't booked the woman said were fully booked not even asking what time could we accommodate you?? Obviously Marston's don't want your custom?? Which I found pretty strange and said ok we will go to somewhere else totally astonishing for the lack of customer care ..we had never been to this pub/eatery and won't ever go again as I stated there's lots of competitors to spend you money with ..... believe that some customer training may be needed and more staff as the other reviews also point out....the grazing cow in Lawley could give you some pointers!!☹️☹️not good could do alot better.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBL
We are regulars on a Friday Night but Last week was Shockingly bad.
The food was terrible. Cold in one case
Over cooked steak fu of grizzlè with 6 yes 6 chips and 3 scraps. Not even a whole potato!! SHOCKING!! For over £22 not value for money.
My Friend received about the same chips with the privilege of updating to sweet potato fries for an exta £1.50 and got a tiny portion too.

WOW, ordered the 8oz serloin, £19.50 When it came the plate looked empty!! Just the steak, 2 halves tomatoes and some Rocket. The chunky chips where in a bowl...ALL 8 OF THEM!!!! YOU HAVE HOT TO BE KIDDING!! 8 Chips! Not even a bit of side salad or Coleslaw?? And they cant cook steak...asked for Rare... got well done... Come on guys improve or reduce the price, so not worth the money

The service was very good but was very disappointed with the food overall. We got there to be told no steak and on flat breads which took out a substantial amount of what we wanted to order. Then when what we ordered came out most of us had about 8 - 10 chips on our plates. I had the smallest bowl of fries i have ever had. It was more like a child's portion. I ended up saying to one of the members of staff that 8 chips was not good enough. So she bought out 2 extra portions of chips out. To be honest I was overall disappointed with your food. Considering it was a pay day weekend I would expect you to have ordered plenty of food in to serve your customers and not make luck like the food was being rationed. I gave you 3 stars mostly for the friendly service we had.

Visited yesterday 01/03/2025. Family meal for 6 adults 1child. Service was good drinks ordered and delivered speedily. The food quickly arrived but was disappointed with the portion size of chips, very small! Absolutely gutted that they've gone for the cheap option of removing lamb chop from the mixed grill and put the price up. This was the best mixed grill in the area, Unfortunately not anymore. Change is good for somethings but I'm sorry the Fallow Field in my opinion has shot themselves in the foot with their new menu. Sorry you've lost 6 good customers.

Communication between the restaurant and myself was good via email. We were a large family party celebrating a birthday party, however, sadly that wasn't to be as my aunt passed the day before. We all still met up to eat and support each other at the Fallow Field and the waiters/waitresses were very understanding when we told them. Thank you for allowing us to pay separately which created less stress for me worrying about who owed what. A good position for the table allowing us all to talk and easy parking for everyone. The only disappointing thing was that some of the meals were cold but nobody said anything as it wasn't the right time for us to complain. Otherwise, all was fine. Thank you to you all.

The food was excellent and the lady who looked after us at the table was a star. We found the ambience of the restaurant to be very comfortable and will definitely return.

On the whole a satisfactory visit… only disappointment was the lack tartar sauce and to be told by the young man who served us that it wasn’t their fault!!!

Hunters chicken was nothing special but ok. Side salad was black on the edges, definitely more than three days old. Tomato soup was warm not hot. So 3/10 for meal. Staff 10/10. I did tell them about the food and the waitress's said they were sorry. But it should never left the kitchen like that ! So head chef your standards slipped. Value for money not really.
